The Fordyce Rotary Club will be sponsoring a child car seat check this weekend.

The event will be held on the Wal-Mart parking lot on Saturday from 9am until 2pm. During that time, law enforcement officers will be on hand to show how to correctly install the car seats.

The program is a part of Rotary International's year-long effort to reduce child mortality. The service will be provided at no charge.

Anyone with young children is encouraged to attend and have their restraints checked in order to better protect the children.
