The Rison Wildcats also finished their 2008 campaign on Friday, falling to Mansfield 32 to 21.

Rison had a 9 game winning streak going into the final week of the regular season when they lost to Prescott in a conference championship match a week ago. Coach Totty says that's what makes the season ending even harder.     <Voice of Totty>

In other area playoff results, the Bearden Bears advanced with a win over Hackett on Friday night, 54 to 14. And, Woodlawn beat Magazine 26 to 3.

Bearden will host Murfreesboro for round 2 in the class 2A bracket this Friday night while Woodlawn will Travel to Bigelow.
